Continuing education advances in Latin America

With the participation of representatives of universities from Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Cuba, Venezuela, El Salvador, Costa Rica and from different regions of Chile, the VIII Continuing Education Congress called “Continuing Education without Borders”, organized by the Network, began University of Continuing Education in Chile made up of 28 universities in the country, with the Catholic University of Temuco as its host headquarters. During the academic activity, topics such as student mobility at national and international level, training for work, training with identity in times of continuous education without borders were addressed.
The participation of the María Cano University Foundation was in charge of the Director of the Center for Advanced and Continuous Training, Sandra Mónica Ramos Ospina, who has an important trajectory in the area, not only because of her academic training but also because of her long experience. for more than a decade directing postgraduate and continuing education programs at the Institution, while working hand in hand with the different faculties and academic programs to guarantee positioning and visibility.
From the experience, excellence and diversity of the participating institutions in an atmosphere of technical debate and under the motto: «Continuing education, beyond borders», the aim was to sensitize the attendees to the role of permanent education in the construction of a fair, equitable society open to change, better prepared for the opportunities and challenges of the world and its complexity.
