The María Cano University Foundation and the Psychology program led on Saturday, November 6, the activity developed around the Conversation The right of women to live without violence, an event attended by leaders of the Municipality of Barbosa – Antioquia, in addition to the teacher Ximena Perdomo and his team of practitioners Fernanda Figueroa, Dalys Rivas, Cinthia Córdoba and Daniela Quintero who carried out important work, together with the San Vicente de Paul Hospital and the Mayor’s Office for Gender Undersecretariat and the Vamos Mujer Corporation to promote a dignified life and no abuse for all women.
This activity recognizes not only women, but also the role of professionals and the good practices implemented during their training process to contribute to the development of women at different levels, including mental and legal health in specific situations of violence. against women. Thanks to this meeting during the discussion, agreements were established to continue strengthening the training of legal personnel in attention with a gender perspective, as well as project this training to the community in general through educational institutions to mitigate the normalization of violence gender, intimate partner violence, physical, sexual and emotional abuse.
