«Créete tu cuento»: First city storytelling university contest

María Cano invites you to develop great skills, to communicate with others, to express what you feel, think, dream and believe in your imagination. Power up, develop and strengthen literary writing skills, participate in an ideal space that allows you to face the challenge of recreating your own reality stories.
Participant’s profile: All undergraduate and graduate program Students, employees and graduates from all branches.
Theme: Urban experiences (experiences in the university, paranormal meetings, friends’ stories, city encounters, etc.)
Application deadline: November 7, 2019
Participation Requirements:
- Participants may only submit one story per person and must ensure that the works submitted are their own.
- Postulate an original and unpublished work (urban story), written in Spanish, which has not been awarded or previously participated in any other contest.
- The file of the participating work must be presented with the following characteristics:
– PDF file
– The cover of the work should only contain the full name of the author, the pseudonym and the name of the work
– Letter size sheet, 12-point Arial font and single line spacing
– The story should have a maximum length of 2 sheets
– The archives should be kept as follows: full name, pseudonym – name of the work, example: Juliana Vargas Núñez, Cloud – Clouds to heaven
Evaluation criteria:
Structural elements (having a beginning, knot and end)
Creativity
Spelling elements
Cohesion and coherence of ideas
General aspects: María Cano receives the right to use the selected and awarded stories. The author empowers them to publish, edit or expose them with their respective credit, this does not mean that there is an alienation of the intellectual and economic rights of the authors, who continue to retain ownership of their stories.
