The María Cano University Foundation was invited to the UNAC Internationalization Week: Significant Experiences of Internationalization in Higher Education, an event organized by the Colombian Adventist University Corporation, which took place between October 17 and 20, with the purpose of enriching university communities with updated and first-hand information about internationalization experiences in Higher Education Institutions.

The International Relations Headquarters of María Cano presented the internationalization model of the institutional curriculum, which was recognized as an outstanding practice in terms of national and international visibility for the country’s higher education institutions. Within the exhibition, the importance of harmonious integration into the curriculum of the international, intercultural and multicultural dimension was highlighted, allowing the training of students with glocal competencies, a greater understanding of diverse cultures, allowing them to perform professionally and socially in international contexts. assertively. Those attending the conference recognized that, although strategic lines of internationalization such as academic mobility and the signing of cooperation agreements are of utmost importance, it is also essential to strengthen the internationalization of the curriculum in HEIs to guarantee greater coverage of the population. institutional environment impacted by internationalization strategies, as well as adaptation to new digital contexts that integrate internationalization and virtuality in a new way.
