Exaltation of the best students

The María Cano University Foundation praised the students who obtained the best academic averages in the 2020-II period; In a national virtual ceremony, chaired by the rector Hugo Alberto Valencia Porras, and the vice-rectors Jorge Albeiro Herrera Builes and Carlos Julio Escobar Noreña, the students who obtained the best grades during the last period were honored, in accordance with the provisions of the Academic Regulations , chapter XIII Stimuli, article 67 that establishes to grant scholarship to academic excellence to the three undergraduate students of each program, who achieve the highest academic average in the immediately preceding period.
To choose the winners, the Academic Regulation establishes as requirements for obtaining the Scholarship for Academic Excellence to have registered and approved, without qualifying, all the subjects that make up the study plan within the respective academic period. Students who have only registered the practice, are not repeating subjects, accredit in said academic period an average of no less than four and five (4.5), that there is a favorable opinion on the part of the Faculty Council for this recognition, not having has been disciplined and that the average of the periods taken is not less than four (4.0).

The Rector encouraged young people to continue advancing, in a committed way in their studies and not to lose heart despite the challenges and difficult situations that the world is going through, such as the covid-19 pandemic.
