Excellent balance II International Congress on Labor Rehabilitation

With great success, the María Cano University Foundation carried out the second version of the International Congress on Labor Rehabilitation. The activity took place on March 3 and 4, with the participation of 85 professionals from various cities in the country. The academic meeting had 15 conferences in person and online to update knowledge in labor rehabilitation, seeking to promote the processes of reinstatement, relocation and reconversion of workers who present occupational, common illnesses and work accidents.
It is relevant to highlight that, in this new version, there was an important link with the Colombian Institute of Educational Credit and Technical Studies Abroad – ICETEX, with the sponsorship for the face-to-face mobility of international experts with an outstanding academic trajectory: from Mexico the Dr. Elizabeth Gómez Rentería, as well as the specialist Lourdes Iribarren Llorente from Panama and Dr. Janeth Fernanda Jiménez Rey from Ecuador, who joined speakers from Spain, Brazil, Cuba and Colombia, consolidating a space for interaction, exchange of research experiences and transfer of knowledge, from the legal framework, critical variables of labor rehabilitation, disability, intervention in mental health, psychosocial risk, articulation and functions of the ARL, among other topics.
The María Cano University Foundation is consolidated as an institution connected to the world, promoting events of international stature and generating spaces for updating and qualification for Colombian and foreign professionals in topics of great relevance at a global level, ratifying the institution as an academic setting for dialogue critical and reflective, of meeting and social appropriation of knowledge and science, new social commitments of educational institutions for the analysis and study of world problems, as well as the management of alternative solutions at the state, social and business level.
