Faculty of Engineering is part of the Redis Antioquia Node

The Network of Systems Engineering and Related Programs – REDIS – is a group of those who act as the highest authorities of systems engineering programs, or related names, offered by higher education institutions. It was created in Bogotá in 2001 and since then it has met at least once a month to discuss common academic and professional matters, which implies collaboration and relationship with representatives of different sectors and unions such as: Acis, Fedesoft , Ministry of ICT, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and Ministry of National Education, among others. In Antioquia about 28 institutions are part of this network.

The Software Engineering program of the María Cano University Foundation seeks to train citizens with the ability to respond to the needs of the national production and service system, with a social focus, capable of analyzing, designing, modeling, developing and implementing products and services. of software that strengthen the productive sector and services, public and private, based on standards, regulations, methodologies and tools that guarantee world-class products, with the necessary skills to promote their ability to provide comprehensive solutions to the problems that in their professional performance is presented to them, based on values and ethics, supported by technological tools that guarantee their results.
