Students from the Physiotherapy Program at Fundación Universitaria María Cano, Popayán campus, continue to reinforce their social commitment through community-based internships. During these sessions, the future physiotherapists promote health and well-being in local communities by conducting prevention, education, and healthy lifestyle activities.

This effort, an integral part of their academic training, highlights the essential role of physiotherapists as key agents of social change, making a positive impact not only on the health of the population but also on the quality of life of residents in Popayán and surrounding areas.

Furthermore, this collaborative work is strengthened thanks to the support and guidance of Yesenia Velasco, Social Manager of the Municipality of Popayán, who, along with her team, has reinforced the link between academia and the community. Thanks to this partnership, the activities not only have an educational impact but also contribute to the integration of the university in local development processes.

Through these actions, Fundación Universitaria María Cano reaffirms its role as a catalyst for change in southwestern Colombia, consolidating its presence and strengthening the social outreach that defines the institution.
