Students from the Cali campus of Fundación Universitaria María Cano participated in a first aid course in which they explored different aspects related to initial care in emergency situations. The session combined theoretical content with practical exercises, allowing participants to become familiar with basic response procedures.

During the course, students had access to various tools to put their newly acquired knowledge into practice. Among the activities carried out were cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) simulations using human torso manikins, equipment designed to recreate care situations and provide feedback during practice.

The combination of theory and practice allowed participants to become familiar with first aid procedures and with how to respond to certain situations that may require an immediate response. In this way, the course complemented the students’ education with knowledge applicable to different settings both within and beyond the university environment.
