Graduated in Cali with the #MásMaríaCano seal
- 2 septiembre, 2024
Jackson Vinasco graduated from the Physiotherapy program at the Cali campus in 2013. He began his professional career in the clinical area in the city of Tuluá, Valle del Cauca, where he worked for three months, later receiving a job offer from Deportivo Cali thanks to Internship agreement established between the María Cano University Foundation and the club was able to carry out his internship in the sports field, which allowed him to stand out and in 2014 be hired by that organization. During his time at Deportivo Cali, Vinasco worked with both the professional team and the minor divisions. Over the years, he honed his knowledge in sports rehabilitation protocols and advised physical therapy students from various higher education institutions, both undergraduate and graduate. His passion for the sports area led him to complete a Master’s Degree in Physical Activity and Sports in 2019.
At Deportivo Cali, he achieved important professional advances and participated in international tournaments with the minor divisions. However, in 2022 he decided to retire from the club to make a change in his life and start a new project: MundoFisio. In the first phase of this venture, it set up a clinic in agreement with synthetic fields, with the aim of offering specialized rehabilitation for athletes, with an innovative and personalized approach.
The venture focuses on offering an adequate space for readaptation to the field, integrating both physical treatment and sports technique. Unlike other places, where sessions are shorter, this care model includes sessions of one and a half hours to ensure a complete and personalized recovery for athletes. Since 2020, the demand for care has focused on home care for a wide range of athletes, including soccer players, golfers, tennis players, water polo players, dancers, among others.
Jackson’s goal now is to study programming and, in the future, specialize in artificial intelligence applied to sports physiotherapy. Additionally, he plans to explore web application development and expand his knowledge in technology in general. In 2020, he was recognized as an outstanding graduate and throughout his career, he has completed various courses, including personalized training, sports coaching, and various certifications in wave application. Jackson says that his professional career has been rewarding and enriching, as has his experience in teaching, where he has been able to transmit his knowledge about sports therapy.
He also recognizes that his training at María Cano was fundamental for his professional development. And he is especially grateful to teachers such as Mercedes Ospina, Adriana Rodríguez and Leydin Vásquez, who played a crucial role in his training and professional growth.
