- 19 mayo, 2026
Fundación Universitaria María Cano, Cali campus, successfully hosted Hackathon IA 2026, an initiative designed to strengthen technological talent, innovation, and collaboration with the business sector through challenges focused on artificial intelligence and digital transformation. The event brought together 12 campers, including graduates of the Talento Tech program and students from different higher education institutions, who participated over two days in an intensive environment of learning, creativity, and collaborative work while tackling real-world technological innovation challenges.
The Hackathon allowed participants to apply technical knowledge, analytical skills, strategic thinking, and teamwork abilities, demonstrating how technology and innovation can become key tools for addressing current organizational and regional needs. In this context, the Talento Tech program continues to position itself as a strategic initiative for strengthening digital and technological competencies among young people and professionals, promoting practical learning experiences, connections with the business ecosystem, and employability opportunities in high-demand sectors.

Throughout the event, participants faced three technological innovation challenges focused on developing applied solutions, strengthening competencies related to artificial intelligence, creativity, leadership, and problem-solving in real contexts. As a result of this process, three participants were selected as winners and will have the opportunity to join a real business project directly, demonstrating the impact these experiences have on professional development and workforce integration for emerging talent.

Fundación Universitaria María Cano highlighted the commitment, innovative capacity, and active participation of all campers, reaffirming its commitment to initiatives that integrate education, technology, and industry as drivers of regional development and social transformation. Through experiences such as Hackathon IA 2026, the institution continues to strengthen spaces that promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and the education of human talent prepared to respond to the challenges of the digital economy.
