The programs of the Faculty of the Faculty of Health Sciences: Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Psychology, the Specialization in Comprehensive Care for Early Childhood, the Specialization in Audiology, and the IPS María Cano, met with the team members of the FAN Foundation, to identify opportunities for joint work in projects that support children, educational agents and caregivers, this work is part of the constant commitment of the university community with the social and community well-being of the most vulnerable communities in the country, especially the regions in which the Institution is present with its undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education academic programs.

On its website, the FAN Foundation highlights that «It focuses on providing care to children, adolescents and their families who live in vulnerable economic and social situations and extreme poverty, located throughout our territory, to through educational programs, nutritional support, and psychosocial care, training of adolescents to devise life projects and guidance to families to guarantee caregivers with adequate parenting guidelines.

The María Cano University Foundation, with these actions, responds directly to what is projected in the institutional Mission of guaranteeing a presence in local, regional and national contexts; committed to social projection in the development of teaching, research and extension; and aimed at training people with critical thinking, social commitment and a glocal vision.
