The María Cano University Foundation, in coordination with the Huila Higher Education Institutions Corporation, which is part of the Social Projection Table of the municipality of Neiva, took over commune 10 of the city’s metropolitan area, with the aim of carrying out a health brigade, aimed at the population in vulnerable conditions, where services were offered such as: cardiovascular screening, oral health education and examination, visual screening, language and speech stimulation, blood donation, management of chronic diseases, education in sexual and reproductive rights, human rights and post-conflict, awareness of the consumption of psychoactive substances, education in breast self-examination, environmental awareness, social characterization for housing improvement, medical care for pets, App sample for arachnids, robotic sample, legal brigade, management for personal finances, development of neighborhood plans, business consulting and accounting ble, micro-business program, business consulting, among other services.

With the participation of different institutions such as the Antonio Nariño University, Corhuila, the Surcolombiana University, the Cooperative University of Colombia, the Higher School of Public Administration, the Uniminuto, the UNAD, the ESE Carmen Emilia Ospina, the Ministry of Health of the department and the Department of Recreation and Sports of the Mayor’s Office of Neiva, services were provided that directly benefit the inhabitants of this region of Colombia.

In this way, the social commitment to social projection and the well-being of all people in the city of Neiva is ratified.
