At the María Cano University Foundation, Cali headquarters, a practical theoretical workshop on pulmonary and cardiac auscultation was carried out, the protagonists of the academic activity were the applicants for the first semester of training of the Physiotherapy and Phonoaudiology programs, the purpose of this interaction is familiarize future professionals at María Cano with the terminology, evaluation criteria, technologies, educational structure and the positions they can hold as professionals, while raising awareness of the importance of the knowledge learned.

For its part, the Phonoaudiology program addresses human communication, its disorders and variations; focused on the areas of hearing, language, speech, voice and oral-pharyngeal function, which can be affected by biological, psychological or social causes that affect the communicative well-being of people and their quality of life. In this sense, the speech therapist is the ideal professional for its approach due to scientific and deep knowledge of human communication as a sphere of personal and social development. Its actions are oriented towards the identification of the communication needs of the population, evaluation, diagnosis and intervention of disorders and alterations of communication in the educational, social welfare, health and business sectors; He is a manager of projects and research that contribute to the development of the individual, the communities and the profession.
