The Faculty of Engineering of the María Cano University Foundation at the Medellín campus carries out different projects that allow students to put into practice everything they have learned in the different subjects of the curriculum of the Software Engineering program. These spaces allow young people to work as a team to strengthen current issues, while developing projects that facilitate the generation of prototypes focused on solving community problems and generating creativity, teamwork. The work carried out is evident in the creation of robotic, mobile, communication, fourth industrial revolution and software development equipment.

The Faculty’s research hotbed has eighteen students from the different semesters, who are characterized by carrying out investigative, creative, playful and development activities, which prepare the future professional to face the challenges that they will encounter in the exercise. of the academic program in the different sectors that society requires their contributions.

During the week of May 8 to 13, the Faculty of Engineering of María Cano has led the realization of the International Meeting of Engineering and Technology 2023, which has had the participation of experts of recognized trajectory in the world, such as the teacher José de Jesús Soto Padilla and Dr. Ramón René Palacio, both professors at the Technological Institute of Sonora in Mexico. During the activity, it was possible to highlight the work with professionals from Colombia, such as Neyder Vergara, an expert in artificial intelligence and software development; and Juan Fernando Hernández, CEO of the company Fokang Lab, a digital laboratory specialized in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
