In the auditorium of the Antonio Nariño University in the city of Neiva, the First Departmental Meeting of Research Groups and Second Network Meeting was held, organized by the Research Table of the Huila Higher Education Institutions Network Corporation, where the universities of the Huilense community participated; the Surcolombiana, the Huila University Corporation, the National Open and Distance University – UNAD, the María Cano University Foundation, the Antonio Nariño University, the National Unified Higher Education Corporation, the Cooperative University of Colombia and Uniminuto.

The meeting began with the words of the coordinator of the Neiva headquarters, Diana María Salazar Rojas, who participated as organizer, along with the Fisioter research group, allowing a space where the leaders of the research groups and networks presented the profile of the group or network for the dissemination of research results and socialization of New Knowledge Generation products.

The scope for the department and for the participating universities is the promotion of the interaction of researchers in different areas of knowledge, the development of theoretical and operational knowledge of the research teachers of the region, the promotion of strategies that allow managing resources to national and international level through strategic relationships, the development of high-impact publications and scientific advice, in order to achieve the positioning of the region at the level of research, science and technology.
