I want to meet my degree requirement – Level B1

As an undergraduate student at Fundación Universitaria María Cano, you must certify your English level at B1. According to Rectoral Resolution No. 575 of 2016, two mechanisms have been defined to meet this requirement:

1. Taking one of the proficiency exams accepted by María Cano and achieving a B1 level (see regulations).

2. Enrolling in and passing the English knowledge courses (A1, A1+, A2, A2+, and B1) offered by the Language Center.

Important: Remember that certificates from other institutions are not accepted for homologation.

You can also continue your English training after fulfilling your graduation requirement, progressing to B1+ and B2 levels.

Levels to be taken: A1, A1+, A2, A2+, and B1 (B1+, B2 are optional).

Course hours: From level A1 to B1, each level offers 80 hours to the student.

The B1+ level offers 90 hours per level, and B2 and B2+ offer 100 hours each.

Fees per level for 2025:

A1, A1+, A2, A2+, B1: $863,369 per level
B1+, B2, and B2+: $892,110 per level
