On its website, UNAD highlights the activity:
«The central theme of the symposium is one crisis after another, how do philosophy and education respond? For this reason, from research, an academic dialogue is opened to understand the crises that take place throughout current life, to analyze in a close-up of the pandemic, its impacts on humanity and its strong effects on our lives, on mental health and the economy. The Virus is not dead, it continues to spread and generate new lethal variants and discovering the antagonistic reality of rich countries and poor with imaginary lines that come to light.
Similarly, the panorama of Russia’s war with Ukraine appears, the face of displacement, the panorama of inflation as an eminent danger and that constitutes a challenge for the global and regional economy.
Two crises that from the Virtual International Symposium on Philosophy and Education we will continue to deepen, and identify challenges, arguments, reflections and decision-making with a formative spirit from the perspective of philosophy and education to provide effective solutions for transformation in the midst of crises.
From the above, 6 lines of work arise: Philosophy and education in the face of the global crisis, Axiology and ethics: Practical philosophy for the global crisis, Globalization, politics and war, Biopolitics of the metaverse, Philosophy for children and inquiry, Philosophy and education in the face of climate change.
The conferences were held through virtual mediation from the cities of origin and through the Zoom channel at the national and international level broadcast by the TV UNAD Virtual channel.
