Important participation of researchers from the Fisioter Group

A new and important activity of teachers of the María Cano University Foundation, Popayán and Neiva campuses, was evidenced in the work carried out in the international academic event: the II American Congress of Physiotherapy in Mental Health organized by the Colombian Association of Physiotherapy. In this new work, where the quality of work, leadership and positioning of their learning were exalted, with the presentation of experiences of transformation and social impact, related to physiotherapy and kinesiology for the approach of mental health in groups or individuals, in health promotion actions, disease prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of people with mental conditions.
The teachers and researchers, members of the Group Importance of the Movement in Human Development – Fisioter: Mg. Elizabeth Roldán González from the Popayán and Mg. Piedad Rocío Lema Castaño from the Neiva campus presented the results of the research «Burnout syndrome in university teachers, in times of pandemic, and its relationship with socio-occupational variables and musculoskeletal symptoms».
This participation became a valuable space for cultural exchange, knowledge management, academic mobility and collaborative work with researchers from the international context, through virtuality.
