The students of the Physiotherapy program of the María Cano University Foundation in the city of Cali, led the health day in one of the most recognized companies in the capital of Valle del Cauca: Plasticaucho. The activity consisted of a campaign to prevent the consumption of alcohol, tobacco and psychoactive substances, as a way of taking care of the lives of the people who work in that organization. The students made tours of the different scenarios, in the middle of their work practice, to inform in a conscious and didactic way, the negative consequences that these dangerous habits bring to health, highlighting that «the use of these substances affects; the health of the individual , good work performance and personal interaction».

Plasticaucho is a leading company in the footwear sector with more than 80 years of experience that produces high-quality products, identifies itself as a sustainable business, which creates links with people and institutions that contribute to innovation and avant-garde trends that set the standard in the country and in the world.

During the event, the collaborators of the Plasticaucho company were very interested in the training carried out on these types of habits, understanding that their consumption generates health risks, affects social well-being and generates diseases that affect the quality of life of a person, in the short, medium and long term. This is social commitment with the community and with the productive sector in the different areas of Colombia, where the Institution is present.
