In Cali, skills in neuromuscular taping are strengthened with a Kinesiotaping course
- 2 diciembre, 2025
The María Cano University Foundation, Cali campus, successfully completed a Kinesiotaping course, a continuing education program designed to strengthen skills in neuromuscular taping for the treatment of musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and sports-related pathologies.
The 16-hour course was attended by 23 students from health sciences programs, who developed skills in applying neuromuscular taping, recognizing its physiological basis and the biomechanical factors involved in each technique. The theoretical-practical methodology integrated the review of scientific evidence with demonstrations and guided practice, facilitating case analysis and informed clinical decision-making.

The activity was led by physiotherapist Wilson González Marmolejo, Master in Health Administration and internationally certified expert in neuromuscular taping (K-taping), who guided participants through the history, indications, application methods, and responsible use of kinesiotaping in different contexts. In this way, the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Physiotherapy program at the Cali campus reaffirm their commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based training for the improvement of professional practice.
At the end of the course, participants received their certification after achieving 100% attendance and completion of the proposed academic activities, consolidating new tools for their work in clinical and community settings. María Cano University continues to promote professional development opportunities that respond to the needs of the institutional community and society at large.
