In Medellín: María Cano’s CrIN innovation model knowledge Transfer and training with Financity

Thirty-one students and three professors from the Business Administration and Public Accounting programs of Cooperativa de Colombia University, Bucaramanga branch, participated in an experiential academic immersion in the María Cano Innovation and Entrepreneurship Classroom, as part of the Coordination’s action regarding business maximization and value of this space, thus generating knowledge and experience transfer from our institution on topics such as The CRIM model – Creativity and innovation and the María Cano’s innovation and entrepreneurship system.
Additionally, attendees were able to work in a practical and applied way key elements of innovation within the classroom through the board game Financity, which allowed them to perform a financial literacy in terms of: responsible use of money, budgeting, risks on over indebtedness, responsible purchasing, relationship with financial institutions, importance of savings, analysis and decision making; In the same way, leadership competences, teamwork, strategy planning, achievement orientation and a number of characteristics that for today’s professional are indispensable can be worked on.
The experience allowed students to conclude that classroom learning can be generated by implementing disruptive methodologies strategies which maximize knowledge value of under scenarios of ideation, creation or co-creation.
