In Popayán research at the service of Colombia

The final results or Definitive Eligible Bank are now available within the framework of the «CALL 2 – YOUNG RESEARCHERS AND INNOVATIVES IN THE DEPARTMENT OF CAUCA» which seeks to promote the scientific vocation in young people from this region of southwestern Colombia with academic excellence, postulated by the entities of the National Science, Technology and Innovation System (SNCTI) formulating the project (executing agency and allies) through their link to research, technological development or innovation groups that allow them to develop their skills and abilities as researchers.
In this second call, four of the projects presented by the graduates of the Physiotherapy program of the María Cano University Foundation, Popayán campus, were shortlisted within the Eligible Bank: Fernando José Gómez Rodríguez, Daniela Claros Vargas, Gina Valentina Hoyos Palechor, and Anggie Valentina Sarria Gómez, all of them being shortlisted for a score of more than 70 points and finally, the first two young people being definitively selected, due to the Institutional quota limit for the FISIOTER Research Group, to be financed and executed in 2023.
The María Cano University Foundation recognizes the effort and quality of the proposals presented, especially the student Fernando José Gómez Rodríguez who obtained first place, maximum score, of the evaluated proposals; while committing to the scientific initiation process of the 30 Young Researchers and Innovators of the Department of Cauca for the 2023 term.
The tutors that will accompany the projects are the professors and researchers, categorized as Associates in Minciencias: María Fernanda Ortiz Cabrera and Elizabeth Roldán González, members of the Research Group of the Physiotherapy program: Importance of movement in Human Development FISIOTER.
