As part of the projects carried out by the Technical Council of Public Accounting (CTCP), one of the priorities is the study of the regulations related to the figure of the Statutory Auditor, which is why on February 16, 2021, held the Installation of the departmental audit committee in Antioquia, starting with a webinar on the most common Risks in the exercise of the Fiscal Auditor.

On behalf of María Cano, the director of the Public Accounting program participated: Elkin Antonio Restrepo Escobar, and two professors from the program, Mario Heimer Flórez Guzmán and Orlando Carmelo Castellanos Polo. The program, in this way, is attentive to all the changing regulations on the functions and responsibilities of the fiscal auditor and to be able to participate in the creation of the regulations in the hands of the CTCP, which allows a better exercise of our professionals and graduates.

In the same way, a collaborative and academic work begins in the Antioquia territory that allows the review and formulation of proposals that facilitate the generation of a new, updated, integrative and inclusive regulatory project that responds to the needs of public accountants, in training and in practice, as well as responding to the demanding demands of the market and society in general.
