The María Cano University Foundation seeks to expand its presence in the different scenarios with teaching, research and social projection actions in the municipalities of northern Antioquia; With a view to fulfilling this objective, the Institution initiates dialogues with Dr. Diana Cristina Pérez Tamayo, Manager of the ESE Hospital Presbítero Emigdio Pérez Tamayo in the municipality of Entrerríos. An alliance is projected that will allow the development of actions from service teaching for the programs attached to the Faculty of Health Sciences: Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy and Psychology, as well as for the Faculties of Business Sciences and Engineering.

The Hospital opens its doors to María Cano for the development of joint research projects, health brigades and professional practices; with the goal of establishing long-term relationships that benefit the quality of life of the inhabitants of the municipality of Entrerrios and the organizations of the region. It is important to note that Dr. Diana Cristina Pérez Tamayo is a graduate of the María Cano Speech Therapy program and graduates of the programs work in different areas in the municipality: Liliana Restrepo Pérez serves as Secretary of Health and Juan Esteban Lopera Marín leads the Secretary of Sports.
