The María Cano University Foundation, in virtual form, welcomes the academic peers of the Ministry of National Education, Darío Antonio Mejía Pardo and Carlos Ernesto González Soler, who have a long history and experience in the higher education sector in the country; with a view to verifying compliance with the institutional conditions of the Institution at the headquarters located in the capital of the department of Huila, in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 1330 of 2019, which establishes the regulations that HEIs must comply with in the country in relation to quality in all subsystems that contribute to the strengthening of academic programs.

For three days, the academic peers will meet with the national and headquarters directives, to analyze and evaluate topics such as: mission, institutional identity, the institutional educational project, pedagogical proposal, statutes, the strategic development plan 2017 – 2026, the institutional strategic planning, the internal quality assurance system, self-evaluation and institutional conditions, improvement plans, student regulations, evidence of application and disclosure, teaching regulations, communications system, institutional governance and accountability, institutional policies, management information, institutional architecture, university welfare model, physical infrastructure, human talent management, financial resources, relationship with graduates, teachers and students.

In this sense, María Cano is committed to showing growth, development and positioning in the different subsystems. The visit is attended by the Rector, Hugo Alberto Valencia Porras, the Vice-Rectors, the leaders of the different work areas and the great academic and administrative team of the Neiva headquarters.
