International impact visit that strengthens research

The María Cano University Foundation will receive from Monday, August 2, 2021, Dr. Jorge Guadalupe Mendoza León, who is Professor of the Technological Institute of Sonora (ITSON) – Mexico and has been developing different research projects and products in conjunction with researchers from the SUMAR group of the Business Administration program. Professor Mendoza is an Industrial Engineer in Production, has a Doctorate in Science and Engineering, with an emphasis on Technological Management of Innovation, a Doctorate in Educational Administration, a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and is General Coordinator of the Laboratory of Creativity and Innovation – ITSON (novaLab). Professor Mendoza’s line of research is focused on the Technological Management of Innovation.
During the 15-day visit, different Internationalization and Research activities are planned with the María Cano Community, among which the following stand out:
Launch in Colombia of the physical book, result of Research: «Impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in different productive sectors», in this work, the Professors of Business Administration and Researchers of the SUMAR group Humberto Serna Gómez and Ricardo León Sánchez Arenas, together with Professor Jorge Mendoza, they wrote the Chapter entitled «Factors that affect the student for the decision of university academic continuity in the context of covid-19: case of the María Cano University Foundation», this book was accompanied by the prestigious Mexican publishing house FONTAMARA and by the University of Sonora – UNISON and is already in circulation in Mexico.
Presentation of the ITSON research project, which is led by the ITSON Master’s student, María Almendra Muñoz Maldonado, this Master’s work is directed by professors Jorge Mendoza and Ricardo Sánchez.
Accompaniment of Professor Mendoza class sessions as visiting professor of the educational program Business Administration of María Cano.
Development of joint research project field work between the SUMAR group and ITSON.
Development of a plenary session with undergraduate and graduate students from the Faculty of Business Sciences.
Training activities and joint work with researchers from the different María Cano research groups.
These activities, among others that are contemplated, enrich academic dialogue, learning, collaborative learning and high-level scientific production among the members of the María Cano community.
