The researchers from the SUMAR group of the María Cano University Foundation, Jorge Armando García García, MSc., postgraduate coordinator of the Faculty of Business Sciences; and Juan Andrés Vélez Salamanca MSc., undergraduate and postgraduate professor at the same faculty, recently published the article titled: «Contribution, impact and reflections of philosophy in administrative management. A documentary search» in the international magazine Visión de Futuro.
The document, the result of research, considers and proposes itself as a reflection with which it is intended to establish a relationship between the different schools and philosophical thoughts, and their impact on administrative science. Methodologically, it is based on a review over time of the literature related to the different postulates that are presented in the different philosophical schools over time, building a temporal conceptual framework and on which reflections are proposed in light of administrative and strategic thinking. and current management.
The historical journey of philosophy is structured from the different philosophical eras divided into four moments: ancient era, until 430 AD; C.; medieval period, from 430 AD. C. until 1453; modern era, from 1453 to the second industrial revolution (1914) and the contemporary era, from 1914 to today. In this way, the document reflects a train of thought of the different positions and thoughts of representative authors according to the distribution described and immediately follows the reflection on the administrative elements that reflect that line of thought. Administration, therefore, has not had a univocal definition, but the philosophy and thought of great people have provided it with structure and, throughout history, the epistemological foundations allow it to contribute to becoming what it is today: a reflective, conceptual and practical science.
The fundamental objective of the Vision of the Future Scientific Magazine is to disseminate scientific-technological knowledge, through original results resulting from scientific research, which represent a contribution to the development of science and technology. It is a space of national and international production, focused on articles that are based on solid theoretical and empirical bases.
