Internationalization and Education Meeting to Be Held at the Cali Campus
- 5 febrero, 2026
The Cali campus of Fundación Universitaria María Cano will serve as one of the host institutions for the First Ordinary Session of the Technical Council National Assembly of the Delfín Program, Colombia Chapter 2026. The event will take place on February 12 and 13 in the city of Santiago de Cali, in collaboration with Universidad Santiago de Cali.
This national gathering will bring together senior administrators, researchers, and internationalization leaders from more than 120 higher education institutions across the country. The assembly represents the main strategic planning space for the Pacific Summer Research Program, one of the most important academic cooperation platforms in Latin America and the United States.
On February 12, activities will be held at Fundación Universitaria María Cano’s Cali campus, where strategic guidelines will be defined for the international research internships scheduled from June 8 to July 24, 2026. These research stays strengthen the academic and scientific training of students and faculty members, fostering their participation in high-impact research projects.
In addition to technical planning, the assembly agenda includes the welcoming of new higher education institutions seeking to join the Delfín Program network in Colombia, reflecting its sustained growth. The meeting will promote interinstitutional cooperation, optimize virtual and in-person academic mobility processes, and ensure global excellence standards in postgraduate and scientific dissemination subprograms.
For Fundación Universitaria María Cano, hosting this national event reaffirms its commitment to connective internationalization and socially oriented research, where science serves as a bridge between academia and real societal needs. The assembly further positions Cali as a strategic hub for academic dialogue and international scientific cooperation.
