- 12 marzo, 2026
Fundación Universitaria María Cano continues to strengthen its academic offerings across different regions of the country. As part of this commitment, on March 12 and 13 the institution welcomes academic peer reviewers from the Ministry of National Education to Popayán as part of the evaluation process for the qualified registration of the Fashion Design program.
During this visit, the university community welcomes experts Bibiana del Pilar Tinjaca Numpaque and Blanca Aurora Cañas Medina, professionals with extensive experience in the fields of fashion design, higher education, and academic quality assurance. Their visit represents an important step in consolidating an academic proposal aimed at contributing to the creative and productive development of the region.
The two-day academic review includes meetings with institutional leaders, faculty members, students, alumni, and representatives from the business sector, as well as on-site tours of the academic spaces and learning environments available at the university’s facilities in the capital of the Cauca department.
These sessions allow the institution to present the academic project of the Fashion Design program in a comprehensive manner, highlighting its relevance to regional needs and its potential contribution to the training of professionals capable of engaging with the creative industries and the national productive sector.
Through initiatives such as this, Fundación Universitaria María Cano continues advancing in the consolidation of its undergraduate and graduate academic offerings, reaffirming its commitment to high-quality higher education that contributes to the social, cultural, and economic development of Colombia’s regions.
