María Cano kicks off the «Visionaries» program with Sapiencia
- 17 julio, 2025

The Project Department of the María Cano University Foundation, in conjunction with the Schools of Software Engineering and Business Sciences, officially launched the «Visionaries» program, a high-impact social initiative implemented in partnership with Sapiencia, the Post-Secondary Education Agency of the Mayor’s Office of Medellín.
This project is part of the «Study Visionaries» program, which aims to provide free training in digital skills, creative industries, and key areas of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, thus promoting access to employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
The Foundation was selected to train 241 young people and adults from Medellín, who will begin their educational process in two technical and labor programs:
- Labor Technician as a Digital Marketing Assistant
- Labor Technician as a Data Analysis and Management Assistant
Participants include both recent high school graduates and individuals who have not previously had access to post-secondary education, including those who only completed ninth grade. All were pre-selected by Sapiencia.
The training will be held in person at the Medellín campus of the María Cano University Foundation and will run until December 2025. It will have the academic support of partner schools and the guidance of specialized teams.
This project reflects the institution’s commitment to the University-Business-State-Society relationship model, strengthening alliances to reduce educational and social gaps. Thus, the Foundation continues to position itself as a key player in building a more just, educated country with greater opportunities for all.
