Excellent news for the community, the María Cano University Foundation achieved recognition from the Medellin Ministry of Education for the official opening of the B2 English academic program, which means more opportunities for internal and external audiences for training in a second language. The operating license, under the regulations of Education for Work and Human Development (EDTH) allows to offer levels A1, A1 +, A2, A2 +, B1, B1 + and B2, in accordance with the name of the Common European Framework of Reference, which It is a standard that defines the criteria of training and scope.

Since 2018, María Cano has been working on obtaining this recognition with the Ministry of Education of the municipality of Medellín, which has led to the search for the highest standards in terms of quality, methodology, pedagogy and didactics. This commitment has generated a dynamic of work that is evidenced in the results of the last validity, where the Institution’s Language Center attended 2,396 students for training courses in English with the academic ally Cambridge Learning System at different levels, in addition of administering more than 400 international APTIS tests through an agreement with the British Council of the United Kingdom.

The Cali, Neiva and Popayán de la María Cano headquarters are prepared in this same certification route, to obtain the guarantees of the respective Secretaries of Education of each city and continue with the positioning of the Language Center at national level, with the objective of Continue promoting bilingualism and encourage the university community to participate in academic, cultural and professional contexts at national and international level.

The resolution obtained in the city of Medellín is N. 201950109484 and is valid for 5 years.
