Fundación Universitaria María Cano, Neiva campus, has launched the first cohort of its Specialization in Physical Activity, a program aimed at training professionals capable of designing and managing projects that respond to regional needs, promoting positive transformations in health and social development.
This academic program seeks to prepare specialists with a comprehensive understanding of physical activity, integrating knowledge in health, recreation, training, and sports, with the goal of contributing to people’s well-being and improving quality of life across different contexts.
Graduates of the program are characterized as ethical, autonomous professionals with critical thinking, creativity, strong communication skills, and a deep social commitment. With a “glocal” perspective, they are equipped to act as agents of change, positively impacting cultural, social, and health development within their communities.
Additionally, they will be able to design and manage physical activity projects, lead strategies and policies aimed at creating healthy environments, and participate in research initiatives that strengthen cultural management, sports, and recreation.
Graduates will be prepared to work in both public and private sectors, including organizations related to health, sports, and recreation, as well as educational institutions and community programs, consolidating their role as professionals who contribute to the overall well-being of society.
Through this new cohort, Fundación Universitaria María Cano reaffirms its commitment to high-quality education, social impact, and the development of professionals who contribute to health and quality of life.
