María Cano participated in the VIII National Congress of Mastology, which took place in the city of Cartagena, where the work “Body posture and biomechanics in women after mastectomy” was presented in the poster mode. This product of scientific dissemination is the result of the alliance with the company Mascapacidad SAS and The National Seine Learning Service, within the framework of the Project «Analysis of the effect of external prostheses on the posture and biomechanics of patients with breast cancer» developed by FISIOTER group researchers Fanny Valencia Legarda, Catalina Lopera Muñeton and Osiris Mayde Bedoya of the Physiotherapy program and the manager of the Camilo Andrés Páramo Velásquez Engineering and Design Line of Tecnoparque Sena Nodo Medellín.

The Congress, which took place between November 13 and 16, was attended by renowned country mastologists-oncologists and international experts, who presented the most recent advances in the treatment of breast cancer; while discussing the importance of early detection, chemotherapy treatments and treatments provided to users.
