With the purpose of strengthening the presence, academic coverage, extension and social projection of the Institution, while allowing the expansion of the offer of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the south of the metropolitan area of ​​Valle de Aburrá, Collaborators of the María Cano University Foundation, attached to the Faculty of Business Sciences, participated in different meetings with leaders of the Envigado municipality where agreements were reached for both parties.

The director of the Business Administration program; Víctor Hugo Monsalve Manco, with the support of the professional in marketing processes of the faculty, shared with the adviser of the local office, Hernán Marín; with the person in charge of agreements of the mayor’s office, Alejandra Duque; and with the leader of the education portfolio, Juan Gabriel Vélez; In the work carried out, it was possible to identify and project the possibilities of actions that will support 10th and 11th grade students in their transition to higher education and professional training.

Based on these actions in the municipality of Envigado, a proposal for a framework agreement will be generated to support the training of employees of that administration and interaction with students from educational institutions with a view to their professional vocation. In this way, María Cano consolidates its academic management and positioning.
