- 15 julio, 2026
Fundación Universitaria María Cano continues to strengthen its commitment to academic excellence through the development of new learning environments that enhance the education of future healthcare professionals. As part of this institutional commitment, the Popayán Campus is advancing the development and implementation of its new Clinical Simulation Laboratory, supported by an investment of approximately a thousan million pesos, aimed at strengthening educational quality and responding to the current demands of the healthcare sector.
This modern academic facility will feature specialized infrastructure and state-of-the-art technology designed to recreate clinical situations in safe and controlled environments. Through these resources, students will be able to develop technical skills, strengthen clinical competencies, and improve decision-making abilities in a variety of healthcare scenarios, fostering a more comprehensive educational experience before engaging with patients in real-world settings.
The creation of this laboratory reflects the institution’s vision of providing innovative learning experiences that integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application. It will also strengthen clinical simulation processes as a fundamental educational tool for training competent, ethical professionals committed to the well-being of communities.
The new facility will promote interdisciplinary collaboration among the various healthcare programs, enabling students to participate in collaborative activities, solve clinical cases, apply healthcare protocols, and strengthen essential competencies such as communication, leadership, and teamwork, all under the guidance of highly qualified faculty members.
This initiative is part of the investments Fundación Universitaria María Cano has been making to strengthen its physical, technological, and academic infrastructure, consolidating learning environments aligned with the highest quality standards and contributing to the development of relevant, innovative higher education connected to societal needs.
With the launch of this new Clinical Simulation Laboratory during the second semester of 2026, the institution reaffirms its commitment to educating professionals prepared to address the challenges of the healthcare sector and contribute to the well-being and quality of life of communities.
