The María Cano University Foundation, Neiva campus, actively participated in the 1st National Congress on Physical Education, Sports Training, Diversity, Play, and Recreation, an academic event organized by the Surcolombiana University in the municipality of Pitalito (Huila).

With the aim of continuing to promote training, research, and social outreach processes in the region, María Cano awarded five partial scholarships covering 50% of tuition to final-semester students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education at Surcolombiana University and to professionals from the municipality of Pitalito. This initiative reaffirms the institution’s commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and the advancement of local talent.

Through these actions, the María Cano University Foundation strengthens its commitment to academic excellence and the integration of inter-institutional networks that reinforce connections between academia, the health sector, and the sports field. Its participation in this important national event represents another step toward building collaborative learning spaces that contribute to the educational and social growth of southern Huila.
