Within the framework of the General Assembly of the Huila Universities Network, Fundación Universitaria María Cano actively participated as a member of the board of directors during the 2023–2025 term, serving as secretary through the representation of Dr. Diana María Salazar Rojas, contributing to the strengthening of academic processes and inter-institutional collaboration in the region.

During the session, the election of the new board of directors for the 2026–2028 term took place, in which Fundación Universitaria María Cano was once again appointed to serve as secretary, reaffirming its commitment, leadership, and continuity in collaborative work within this important academic network.

The new board will be composed of recognized higher education institutions such as Universidad Surcolombiana, UNAD, Fundación Universitaria María Cano, UNIMINUTO, and FET, which will work jointly to strengthen higher education in the department of Huila, promoting initiatives that respond to the needs of the region.

During the assembly, the management report for the previous term was also presented, highlighting the progress achieved and establishing strategic commitments that will guide the network’s actions in the coming years.

Through its participation, Fundación Universitaria María Cano reaffirms its role as a key actor in building alliances that contribute to the educational and social development of Huila, strengthening its presence in regional decision-making spaces and consolidating its institutional projection.
