The María Cano University Foundation, through its Strategic Projects Office, reaffirms its commitment to the needs of the region through the approval and implementation of major initiatives focused on violence prevention in the department of Antioquia. These efforts highlight the institution’s position as a key player in high-impact social and technical processes at both the regional and national levels.

The institution was selected by the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare (ICBF) as the only organization in Antioquia to deliver the diploma program «Prevention, Detection, and Response to Different Types of Violence and Family Strengthening», aimed at 1,238 participants. This project will be carried out over four months in a multimodal format and will require a significant logistical, academic, and human effort, with 50 simultaneous training groups.

This initiative positions María Cano as a benchmark in high-quality technical and social education, reaffirming the institution’s capacity to design and execute projects under the highest standards of excellence. The Strategic Projects Office will lead the formalization, planning, and implementation of this initiative, coordinating with the various institutional departments to fulfill a shared mission: contributing to the well-being, safety, and protection of communities throughout the region.
