Within the framework of the consolidation of the institutional relationship, the Institution participated in Expoingenieria 2023 that took place in Plaza Mayor Medellín, on November 2, 3 and 4, a space that facilitated the meeting of the science, technology and innovation system, focusing on Engineering level applications in the real environment of the country. This fair was an opportunity to learn about new trends in technology, software, innovation, materials, education and industry, in addition to promoting the relationship between university, state and company both in the development of projects and in decision-making in the country. and the world. With an attendance of 28,000 participants, 266 exhibitors, 422 stands and 4,500 attendees at the talks, it was possible to bring María Cano closer, through the programs of the Faculties of Health, Business Sciences and Engineering, to the public interested in technological development. and the innovation of Medellín.
Within the framework of the Fair, María Cano participated in the technical talks with the conference «Artificial Intelligence and Software Development: What future are we building?» which took place in the white pavilion and was led by engineer Silvia Marcela Henao Villa, Director of Software Engineering, where the management of ethics in software development and its trends were addressed.From the Research Seedbeds: Ingetec and Interactivesoft of the Faculty of Engineering, the advances in robotics and technology simulation projects were shown, which was highly appreciated by students from ten and eleven from the participating schools, teachers, visitors and children between eight and eleven years they were in the activity.
Likewise, during the days of the fair, we participated in the specialized node with Ruta N, where the training of specialized talent at the postgraduate level offered by María Cano could be shown. At the same time, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit participated in the TalentPitch with the Maquilarte venture, led by the student of the Public Accounting program, Horacio Jiménez Sierra, who presented his business idea to the attendees.
The María Cano University Foundation continues to consolidate its participation in outstanding city events that demonstrate the growth and development of the academic proposal at the local, regional, national and international level.
