Mariacanovirtual participating in eLearning and ICT events
- 25 noviembre, 2019

In the Mariacanovirtual team we are aware of the importance of participating in academic spaces that allow us to continue knowing the trends in elearning and ICT, share knowledge, weave knowledge networks and strengthen the processes that we carry out as a team. This November we participated in Interaction Latin America, Integra TIC and Colombia eLearning:
Interaction Latin America 2019 (ILA19) – October 31 to November 2
This event allowed to recognize the trends that are being implemented to improve the user experience (UX) and its environment; The methodologies designed to be developed are AI (Artificial Intelligence), Machine Learning, Design Thinking, Gamification, VR (Virtual Reality), RA (Augmented Reality), among others. Undoubtedly this event gives us the possibility, as a team, to know new trends and innovate in the practices we carry out, while we can gather good practices and trends in gamification, multimedia content, Augmented Reality (RA), Virtual Reality (VR) and user experience. ILA19 was developed at EAFIT University and was attended by the digital designer, Yirlena Sánchez.
IntegraTIC 2019 – November 14 and 15
The main topics of discussion on this day were: educational, social and cultural transformations mediated by technologies; Emerging narratives and convergence culture. This event represented for us an opportunity to recognize new opportunities to educate from emerging narratives, and allow the story to educate, transform and connect, translate into new opportunities for access to education and change social reality from small actions local.
IntegraTIC was led by the University of Antioquia and was held at the Moravia Cultural Center and the UdeA Extension building. We were represented by Dubys Ramírez, pedagogical coordinator; Cathalina Gallo, digital design coordinator and Ana María Jiménez, pedagogical advisor.
Colombia eLearning – November 20-22
This space was a meeting where experts in ICT and eLearning shared innovative trends and strategies in technology-mediated learning. This event allowed us to know the emerging technologies that drive a change in the way of teaching and learning in institutions and organizations, as well as, gave us an overview of how organizations are implementing virtual strategies to manage knowledge.
This event was organized by the Medellin Chamber of Commerce and the ICT Learning company and took place at the Chamber of Commerce, El Poblado headquarters. There they had the opportunity to attend Claudia Patricia Vásquez Lopera, virtuality manager and Johana Ruíz, pedagogical advisor.
Without a doubt, these learnings will be part of the transformation of virtuality that will continue to be strengthened in María Cano within the María Cano Development Plan.
