Medellín Meeting: “Onward into the future”
- 19 noviembre, 2019

At María Cano we are aware of how important it is to go hand in and with middle school students and their parents in the process of choosing their university and professional program, which is why the Marketing office and the Institutional Welfare process had such a wide offer during the second half of the year.
To conclude with this work this semester, on Saturday the “Onward into the future” meeting was held at Medellín’s branch where young people and their families were invited to visit the facilities of the Institution where Ana María Cortés, coordinating psychologist for Human Development and Socioeconomic Promotion also participated. Professor Miguel Marín guided an experiential workshop, and attendees also had the opportunity of hearing a presentation from a Fincomercio consultant followed by a financial institutions fair with which cooperation agreements are in force.
This strategy aims at contributing to the important decision teenagers must make when choosing university training programss. By providing a wider range of views regarding self-knowledge and environment recognition, they might be able to make a wise decision. As for other results, it is also sought to impact on early dropout in higher education institutions.
