Meeting with ASOFONO

At the María Cano University Foundation, Neiva headquarters, a virtual meeting was held with Dr. Roció Molina Béjar, president of the Colombian Association of Speech Therapy, with the aim of identifying the benefits of being an Asofono member, where topics such as some such as being able to attend continuing education sessions with special discounts, receive or publish job offers through mail or on social networks, expert advice for research projects and participate in projects that the association promotes.
The Colombian Association of Speech Therapy – Asofono, is a non-profit association, created in 1969 by Resolution No. 1527 OF 1975, with the purpose of promoting and strengthening the development of the profession of Speech Therapy, which is regulated under the guidelines of Law 376 of 1997. Asofono is a founding and active member of the National Association of Health Professionals. It was founded by speech therapists who graduated from the National University of Colombia and the Colombian School of Rehabilitation, which at that time had an agreement with the Universidad del Rosario.
Its mission is to unite students and professionals in Speech Therapy in Colombia and, in its capacity as advisor to national and international, public and private entities, promote plans and programs for the advancement of the profession and the search for improving the social capital of the Colombian speech therapist. .
At the María Cano University Foundation, the development of the Speech Therapy profession is promoted and strengthened, promoting communicative health and communication skills are key axes for the training of professionals with human quality.
