Researchers Piedad Rocio Lerma Castaño and Diana Paola Montealegre Suarez, members of Fisioter group, published their article, which is the result of activities to generate new, high-quality knowledge in English. It is named «Prenatal, perinatal and postnatal risk factors associated with fine motor function delay in pre-school children in Neiva, Colombia», and it was pubished in the United Kingdom magazine, Early Child Development and Care, indexed in Scopus in quartile two.
The publication was co-authored with renowned researchers from the University of Pamplona: Dr. Sonia Carolina Mantilla Toloza and Carlos Alberto Jaimes Guerrero and with the graduates of Physiotherapy program of Neiva Campus, Luisa Fernanda Romaña Cabrera and Daiana Stefanny Lozano Mañosca, who are bound to the research group «Visionarios de la Ciencia y Senderos del Conocimiento«.
These advances in research production are the result of inter-institutional collaborative work and the commitment of our work team that allows us to achieve important indicators of the research groups with respect to their production and impact on Science, Technology and Innovation, in accordance with the current model for measuring research groups and researchers of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, especially because of the academic impact, the cohesion and cooperation indices and the educational impact associated with the curriculum of the Specialization in Comprehensive Early Childhood Care of The Maria Cano University Foundation, which aims to train specialists to work in a coordinated, interdisciplinary and systemic manner for the development of children between the ages of 0 and 6.
