More quality with a qualified internal audit team

The auditing team of the María Cano University Foundation successfully completed the course «Fundamentals of quality under the standards ISO 9001, NTC 5555 and NTC 5580», which aims to strengthen the knowledge of auditors in the management and application of these standards. The Institution is committed to the training of internal auditors to be at the forefront of the different academic and administrative processes that allow us to observe compliance with all technical standards in action at the national level, which is reflected in the service provided to students. , professors, researchers, collaborators, graduates and the general public.
This course lasted 24 hours, was taught by engineer Jackeline Henao Torres and certified by the international company Bureau Veritas and was attended by Adriana María Mora Rivera, Ana Milena Fragoso González, Angélica María Zuluaga Calle, Boris Mauricio Revelo Rendón , Elkin Antonio Restrepo Escobar, Jorge Alexander Salazar Santamaría, Juan Felipe Castaño Botero, Juan Pablo Restrepo Hoyos, Julia Milena Soto Montoya, Katherine Silva Medina, Kelly Yesenia Morales Zapata, Liliana Portilla Ortega, María Camila Álvarez Vahos, María Fernanda Ortiz Cabrera, Myriam Milena Vargas Mazorra, Natalia Alejandra Hernández Garzón, Néstor Alonso Perlaza Ruiz, Sandra Mónica Ramos Ospina, Silvia Marcela Henao Villa, Víctor Hugo Monsalve Manco and Yasmín Andrea Rodríguez Laiseca.
The training allowed these collaborators to acquire the necessary skills to carry out the internal audit program, which begins in mid-August, framed in the evident commitment to quality, excellence and institutional coherence.
During the last year, María Cano’s internal auditors have made more than 22 visits to the different subsystems or processes that allow the definition of improvement plans through annualized action projections. For the second semester of 2021, 20 audits are projected at the national level.
