María Cano is proud of the investigative work for the service of society at the Neiva campus by Physiotherapy teachers, Diana Paola Montealegre Suárez and Edna Paola Ramos González, with the participation of graduate Luisa Fernanda Romaña Cabrera; who published an article titled «Effects of High Intensity Circuit Training vs. Interval Training on Body Composition and Oxygen Consumption in College Students.»
This quality work, impact and contribution to community well-being, was published in the magazine «Towards the promotion of Health» produced by the University of Caldas. It is an open access publication without charge from APC (Article Processing Charge) with biannual periodicity, of a scientific nature, it is indexed in the COLCIENCIAS Publindex National Bibliographic Index and categorized in B.
This study sought to identify the effects and effectiveness of high-intensity circuit training versus interval training on body composition and oxygen consumption in overweight and obese young adults; To carry out this study, a large number of university students participated, who underwent different measurements of anthropometric variables to determine their condition before and after carrying out the types of training.
In this way, the María Cano University Foundation continues to encourage research and ratifies its process of contributing to health care.
