María Cano, at her Neiva headquarters, received an inspection and surveillance visit from the Municipal Education Secretary, with the aim of verifying compliance with the conditions expressed in the documents filed for the creation of the Language Center and the registration of programs. of academic knowledge in English at levels A1 +, A2, A2 +, B1, B1 +, B2, determining by this commission that the Institution meets the requirements contemplated in DUR 1075 of 2015. The activity was led by the Vice-Chancellor of Extension and Social Projection, Carlos Julio Escobar Noreña; the Director of the Language Center, María Camila Marín Herrera; and the Headquarters Coordinator, Diana María Salazar Rojas.

In this way, María Cano advances satisfactorily in one of the commitments made in the Development Plan 2017 – 2026 «Building the Future» that allows the articulation, of all the headquarters in the country, to consolidate the Institution’s language center, with a view to providing society with more and more qualified professionals with competencies that allow them to contribute to the development and competitiveness of a globalized world.

This work already had its first fruits at the Medellín headquarters with the official creation of the Language Center and is projected accordingly in the Neiva, Popayán and Cali offices.
