New Academic Alliance Strengthens the Innovation Ecosystem in Valle del Cauca

With the goal of strengthening inter-institutional cooperation, the María Cano University Foundation, Cali campus, participated in a significant dialogue table with representatives from the Network of Universities for Innovation in Valle del Cauca (RUPIV). During the meeting, Professor Nelson Andrés Andrade Bonilla formally presented the institution’s interest in becoming an active member of this key academic network in the region.
The event highlighted the Foundation’s strategic vision to contribute to the region’s development through initiatives focused on research, innovation, and knowledge transfer. In his address, Professor Andrade emphasized that joining RUPIV represents a unique opportunity to consolidate institutional partnerships and promote joint projects with a positive impact on the department.
RUPIV is well-known for fostering collaboration among universities, research centers, and the productive sector, and it plays a key role in shaping public policies that promote science and technology in the region. By aligning with this network, the María Cano University Foundation reaffirms its commitment to strengthening higher education and its active role in the regional innovation ecosystem.
During the session, participants discussed potential areas of cooperation, joint working mechanisms, and specific contributions that the Foundation can offer to help achieve RUPIV’s goals. The meeting also explored synergies between ongoing projects and future initiatives that could benefit from shared experiences and resources.
The dialogue concluded with a mutual commitment to move forward with the formal procedures for the Foundation’s integration into RUPIV, marking the beginning of a new chapter in inter-institutional collaboration for the benefit of Valle del Cauca.
