New analysis of the Health Reform project

The María Cano University Foundation carried out a new version of the analysis forum for the health reform proposal led by the national government of Colombia; Students, professors and directors analyzed the Preventive, Predictive and Resolutive Health Model, described in the project to reform the social security system in health, from the central elements of the model in accordance with the reform proposal, Afro ancestral traditional medicine, medicine and alternative therapies, as well as the challenges of the model for future generations of health professionals.
With the leadership of the Dean of Health Sciences, led by the Amilbia Palacios Córdoba board of directors, those present were invited to broaden their vision of the proposal proposed in the health reform, which includes validation of primary health care, the ancestral health and the participation of health professionals.

Willington Bejarano Sánchez: PhD in Health Information Systems from Alas Peruanas University, Software Development Specialist from EAFIT University, Systems Audit Specialist from Antonio Nariño University, Systems Engineer with an emphasis in Software Antonio Nariño University and Manager General EtnosaludAfro Masproca Project own and complementary Afro-Colombian care model.
Angela Giovanna Caicedo Muñoz: Physiotherapist Specialist in the Upper Limb and Hand of the Colombian School of Rehabilitation, Master in Public Health and Researcher of the Fisioter Group, professor at the María Cano University Foundation, Popayán headquarters.
Jhon Freddy Santos Gómez: Physiotherapist, Master in Public Health, Researcher of the Fisioter Group and Professor of the María Cano University Foundation, Medellín.
The following conclusions emerged from the work carried out:
A critical look is given to the health model, always considering health as a fundamental right, which needs to go beyond coverage and accessibility, a framework of security and satisfaction is necessary.
The Masproca model of health care for black communities with a differential approach allows us to reflect on rescuing ancestral traditional medicine, and articulate it in an integral way to the medical model as a complement.
The health care model is a theoretical construct that operates as an organized system of actions that promote and facilitate health in a country or region.
