New publication of the investigation of the Fisioter group #MásMaríaCano

Members of the Fisioter group, from the María Cano University Foundation, publish the article entitled «Healthy Lifestyles Associated with Socioeconomic Determinants in the Older Adult Population», in the Journal of Primary Care & Community, a high-impact magazine categorized in Q1 according to SCImago Journal Rank . The work studied the relationship between socioeconomic determinants and healthy lifestyles in older adults, and how these become an essential indicator of the health conditions of older adults.
This manuscript was prepared by the research professors Elizabeth Roldan González, Adriana Yulieth Aranda Zemanate, Ángela Giovana Caicedo Muñoz, from the Popayán campus; with the co-authorship of Professor Piedad Rocío Lerma Castaño from the Neiva campus; This result reflects the articulated work that has been carried out between the two headquarters to strengthen the Fisioter group, with the generation of TOP-type products according to the model of recognition and measurement of groups and researchers of the SNCTeI 2021 of Minciencias.
This new product strengthens the indicator of group cohesion, motivates teachers and students to bet on this type of publication that is aimed at consolidating the commitment of the Institution and the program with research as a strategy to generate impact in the community and in populations with which training practices and social projection have historically been working, strengthening an important mechanism for transferring knowledge.
Thus, María Cano continues to consolidate itself as a Higher Education Institution committed to high quality.
